My father was a submariner in the Navy with a saltwater addiction. My mother was simply amazing and did her best to enable him. I credit my parents and my brother for my decency and commitment to integrity. These things are very important to me and you will certainly see it in the service I provide.
I was born in Rocky Mount, NC and raised there on the weekdays. The weekends of my childhood were spent on the Pamlico Sound, usually somewhere in between Washington, Oriental, and Ocracoke. While my buddies were playing little league, my brother and I were sailing and running skiffs. Fishing and camping trips on Shackleford Island were another family favorite. Every chance we could get, my family would run down to Marathon, Florida. A full week of diving, spearfishing, and gorging ourselves on lobsters!
I came to Wilmington to attend UNCW and graduated in 2005. While in school I mated on a few sport fishing boats and commercial vessels. It was evident at this point that saltwater was going to have a lot to do with my future career path. I have worked in the commercial fishing industry in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alaska. I’ve assisted in the harvest of over 1 million lbs. of seafood. In the process, I’ve been around a lot of different boats and people.
For the past seven years I’ve been on every dock between Sneads Ferry and Murrels Inlet fixing all things that break on a boat. Most of that time was spent working on inboard diesels, generators and electrical systems on vessels ranging from 20’ to 60’.
I’ve experienced a lot of change throughout the past two years. Being around my three wonderful children and finding a few spare moments to be on the water keeps me happy. After a lot of contemplation, I decided to create a company that will help your family enjoy more time on the water and reduce the stress of owning a boat. My memories on the water are priceless.
